Alan Guffey

Hello, my name is Alan Guffey age 62. I am a commercial building contractor and a licensed private pilot. I live in Forest City, North Carolina located in the Isothermal Belt, an area that lies in the shadow of the Black Mountains. Mtn. Mitchell, the highest peak east of Rock Mountains lies 35 miles to the west. Life is good in Forest City. People are friendly. My happiness (outside of my family) comes through helping others. I am active in Forest City Lions Club with 15 years of service. I am an alumni of Leadership Rutherford class of 2002 and later served as board member for 6 years. I am also a retired board member of the Rutherford County Airport Authority with 13 years of service. I am married to Linda Johnson Guffey since 1973. We have three daughters that are thirty something and live in Rutherfordton and Winston-Salem NC. I love choral music. I sing tenor in my Church, our Rutherford County Chorus, the Gardener Webb College Chorus when opportunity presents to sing. I have performed in many places including St Patrick's Church, Christ Church in Dublin Ireland and the Sheldonian Theater in Oxford England.
